Since 1977, Melbourne High School Rowing has grown from a small high school team into one of Florida’s premier scholastic rowing programs. Our student-athletes are held to high standards both on and off the water. They maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, participate in study hall and peer tutoring opportunities, and give back through community service. Team members support local initiatives such as beach cleanups, Brevard Zoo conservation projects, and adaptive youth sports programs, reflecting our commitment to leadership, academics, and service.
Melbourne High School Rowing has provided exceptional rowing opportunities for Brevard County youth. Funded primarily through athlete dues, fundraising, and community support, our program serves up to 100 rowers annually, including students from Melbourne-area middle schools.
Community sponsorships help us:
Develop athletes at all skill levels through competitive and recreational rowing.
Expand programs that promote teamwork, leadership, fitness, and academic success.
Provide rowing opportunities for athletes with disabilities.
Support student-athletes as they pursue collegiate rowing and academic scholarships.
In return, sponsors receive year-round visibility through team signage, boats, regatta tents, practice apparel, digital communications, social media, and our website. As one of Florida’s leading scholastic rowing programs, we provide meaningful exposure to thousands of community members, spectators, and athletes throughout the Southeast.
